When working out barefoot/socks I was able to greatly correct my foot patterns, improving my mobility, getting rid of knee pain and target the right muscles groups during my squats, lunges and etc. I highly recommend working out barefoot as some of our shoes can change where the tension goes to or make it harder to adopt certain stance. Of course, running, jumping and anything with impact I still put my shoes on. They are off during static leg exercises. Give it a try, you wi...ll literally feel more grounded. One of the biggest things that can happen as we age and become less active is the loss of strength, compromising balance and stability. When we are sedentary that can become even more aggravating. It’s essencial that we strengthen muscles responsible for walking and climbing that way we can decrease the risk of falling and injury. Being able to age and remain strong and independent is crucial for a better self esteem and quality of life. Aging is a natural process and part of our lives. Stretching is necessary. Soon or later, at some point, you have to prioritize a bit of stretching. Sometimes the reason that we can’t perform well certain exercises is due to a lack of flexibility and mobility of a certain joint. One of the things that always helped me with anxiety was the practice of yoga and nowadays I feel that it can benefit all of us in our current situation. Right now with most of gyms closed in my area yoga couldn’t be more recommended. You don’t need much space. You go on your own pace. There are many online classes around for all levels....
