Expect the same farm with some new changes. I (Anna) have worked here at the farm for the past 10+ years and have loved them! What a treat it has been getting to know you (our customers) and our community here in Santa Maria. I have accepted a position closer to home and am sad to go. I will definitely miss all of you! There's a lot that I do here, so you can expect some changes in the future - my leaving is the cause. We are preparing the farm for the coming cold months. We’ve planted our garlic, ranunculus and other overwintering crops. We have our winter squash harvested and cured. We’ve begun our planning for the next growing season it always amazes me how quickly Spring turns to Summer turns to Fall and we prepare again to do it all next year. Many of our customers are beginning to ask if we will be open during the Winter (which is still 2 months away!). Yes! We are open year-round...! As the seasons change, so does our produce offering, but we plan to have yummy fresh produce all year! Broomcorn Native to central Africa originally, broomcorn has been used for making brooms since the Dark Ages, hence the name! We find that it is very festive as Fall décor! Sometimes I just can’t even believe how sweet babies are. Found this little mouse bopping along in the parking lot! Has to be smaller than a quarter!

A brief search on Google or Pinterest for DIY gourd crafts turns up an endless array of choices from novice to the more complicated carving there is definitely a craft for everyone’s skill level. I love the white gourds. This beauty was accomplished with some glue and spray paint! Even I can do that! Well, if you are feeling as inspired as I am to get crafty stop by to shop our collection of cured bird house gourds! A fun project for all ages! All that is Fall...
