Branco S T R O N G. Her Fight is Our Fight. From @allibranco03 I’m a busy working mom of two amazing kids. I am a junior high PE teacher and a new trainer in the Get Fit family. As a former college athlete and a health and fitness advocate, I was completely shocked when I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I always strive to be healthy and take care of my body, but cancer does not discriminate. Once all of the initial shock set in and all of the tears ...were cried, I knew I only had one option, which was to fight like hell. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m going to fight and come out stronger in the end. I got into my former athlete mindset, devised a game plan and now I am going into Beastmode! I am about halfway through my radiation treatment and if all goes well, I will be finished by June. So far, treatment is going well. I’m still able to work from home, workout, run, and enjoy time with my family and watching my kids play sports. There are many more good days than bad. Having a positive mindset and staying active have really helped me to keep feeling well. The love and support from my family, friends, the Oakdale community and the Get Fit community has been so amazing. I really appreciate all of the phone calls, texts, social media messages, meals, donations, positive encouragement and prayers. I feel like you all give me strength and motivation to push through and stay positive. .
