Our Spring 2018 collection features 8 variations of our signature hand-painted stripes. There is no process in how we apply our stripes as little as there is a process when a painter paints. Our stripes are painted just 2 miles away from our offices in the Arts District. This is important to us. We do not feel comfort in shipping our goods around and adding to their carbon footprint. Our factory that does our sewing is equally close. This makes us feel good and it adds to the good vibes of the garments. There is no political motivation in doing this. This picture was taken by @antoniatritthart At @laairlineinc. Nina, who is actually Antonia, but we know her as Nina, develops our stripes. She has an amazing eye for colors and forms which makes our stripes beautifully different. Nina spends hours on end painting. Finding the perfect hand-painted stripe takes time and experience. It isn't a science. A stripe tells a story. Add a second stripe with a second color and you have a different story. Our signature GEORGE LOVES stripes are hand-painted in Los Angeles.
