We are looking for an Engineering Field Technician to conduct field observations, sampling, and testing related to soils engineering and earthwork construction. We are also seeking experienced and Certified Special Inspectors to perform Inspections and Testing for Concrete, Masonry, Steel, Soils, and/or Welding.

Pico Robertson Senior Housing, Los Angeles. As a trusted consultant to Mercy Housing, Geocon performed the geotechnical investigation for this project, as well as a fault rupture hazard investigation and geotechnical inspection and testing services during construction. This community will provide housing for seniors in Los Angeles, as well as 12 units reserved for homeless senior veterans.

Last night our Murrieta team hit the lanes and participated in the BIA Riverside Annual Lot Bowling Tournament. The theme of the tournament was RETRO back to the 50's and our squad dressed as the characters from the film, Stand by Me. The devastating fires that are burning in Australia are a heart-breaking tragedy. With fires ravaging the state, animals are at their most vulnerable and Geocon decided to help by encouraging our employees to donate to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals New South Wales. Over a 2-week period we hosted a competition between offices. Our staff donated $2,380 AUD overall, with our Livermore office coming in highest. Geocon then matched employees donations, totaling to an overall employee + company contribution of $4,760 AUD! The City of Newark is building a new Civic Center, expected to open in 2021. The project will feature a new City Hall, Library Building, and Police Building. Geocon performed the design-level geotechnical investigation and we are currently conducting construction oversight and testing during ground improvements and site development as the Geotechnical Engineer of Record.
