Let your child have a bad ride. I know you want to protect them from the hardships of this world. I know you want to give them success and good experiences. I k...now you don't want to see them get hurt. To see them fall. To see them fail. But, hear me out, let your child have a bad ride. Let them cry the tears of frustration. Let them shake the sand out from the inside of their riding pants. Let them face the fear building inside of them. Let them step back on again. Yes, let your child have a bad ride. Let them hate the horse that challenges them. Let them learn what fight and passion and ambition mean. Let them realize that when they refuse to quit the horse will take the time to listen. Grant them the joy of realizing that they are connecting with another living being. Grant them the joy of realizing that they, although they are small, can be powerful. Grant them the joy of seeing their hard work pay off, through the days of tears can come a love unspeakable. Yes, let your child have a bad ride. Afterall, life will grant us plenty of them. *not my words, but I loved them so much I just had to share.* written by Sarah Crouse

We had a fun, and successful, time out at MEC this past week for the Let’s Show Halloween Championship show! Everyone had fun showing, put out some great rounds and brought home some prize money. Taylor Karim and Cupid’s Sweet Surprise were Champion in the .70m jumper division for the week and brought home 4th in the Hugh’s Law Group Classic. Taylor Klein and Enzo rode some clean rounds all week, won some classes and placed 8th in the Hugh’s Law Group Classic! Rosemary Bippus... and Airborne Express marched around the hunter ring to some fantastic placings and were consistent all week long. Kiara Hofeditz and Super Moose had some great rounds in the .85m’s and grew as a team throughout the week! They picked up some ribbons and improved every round. Peri Cressman and Prince Rascal we’re quick and clean all week, placed consistently, and picked up a win in the .85m jumpers. They rode to Reserve Champion in their division for the week! Hannah Duecker and La Tazerine had a fantastic week, placing top 2 in every class they stepped into. They were Champion in the .80m’s and Reserve Champion in their Championship class on Sunday. Kiera Schleoder and Billy Can Dance hit their stride this week in the .90m’s and .95m’s. They improved every day, placed well all week, and placed top 10 in the .95m Red Horse Classic on Sunday! And last, but not least, a big congrats to our littlest rider, Caroline Hume, on her leadline classes! No one is cuter than a 1yr old trying to post and 2 point all around the ring, waving to the crowd, and smiling aboard her favorite horse, Billy Can Dance! She won her very first Champion ribbon, but she was far more excited about her marshmallow lollipop and her new stuffed animal. And while we’re always proud of our riders, we’re even more thankful and proud of their support system! A huge thank you to all the parents, siblings, friends and family who came out, helped us set up, tear down, ran errands, polished boots and helped film everyone’s rounds. We couldn’t have done it without you! What a great show to end the year on! We can’t wait for next year!

Lessons will resume as usual on Friday, August 28th. Our air quality index has dropped below 60.

Gemini Equestrian 09.12.2020

We apologize for the inconvenience, but lessons have been canceled until our air quality improves. It’s not healthy to be exercising outdoors during our current state of emergency with the current fires. We will let everyone know when lessons will start back up again. Hopefully it isn’t too long! We hope everyone is staying healthy during these trying time.

We’re so proud of all of our riders this past week at Brookside Splash! For some of our riders it was their first show ever and for the rest the first show back since the pandemic. Everyone was so excited to get out and everyone did amazing. A HUGE thank you to all the parents and family for all the support and help throughout the week. It truly takes a village and we have great one! Congrats everyone on a fantastic show! Now we gear up for the next one! I am, as usual, terrible at taking pictures and videos so if you have any more of the show, send them to me so I can add your photos to the post!
