In celebration of Earth Day (April 22nd), we are collecting recyclables for a local nonprofit called the Child Creativity Lab! Child Creativity Lab (CCL) aims to inspire and create the next generation of innovators and leaders through their unique, hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs and workshops. These programs are free to underserved communities in Orange County, and a majority of the materials used in their workshops are upcycled secondhand and recycled items. CCL diverts usable items from landfills, and then incorporates them into their workshops to create STEM kits, use in their Makerspace, and donate to local teachers to use in their classrooms for science and art projects. These items include plastic bottles, used toys, and old games.
