Gateway Online Campus Gateway City Church, San Jose WE WANT TO SEE JESUS - HIS SEVEN I AM’S The Answer is Right In Front of You... MAIN TEXT: JOHN 14:2-6 Self-focus is not a solution for feeling lost in life. If you have Jesus, you are not lost in life. 1. Jesus is THE WAY you’ve been looking for. If Jesus is the way, your job is to follow Him. Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. FOLLOW ME and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. MATTHEW 16:24 MSG Give God the right to direct your life, and as you TRUST HIM ALONG THE WAY, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly. PSALM 37:5 TPT Are you willing to be spiritually rerouted? 2. Jesus is THE TRUTH you have searched for. Truth is an important commodity in a world filled with lies. They knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idolsSo God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. THEY TRADED THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD FOR A LIE. ROMANS 1:21-25 NLT Truth is truth whether we accept it or not. You will KNOW THE TRUTH, and the truth will set you free. JOHN 8:32 HCSB 3. Jesus is THE LIFE you have longed for. We were dead in our sins, but Jesus brought us back to life. "When you were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self, God made you alive with Christ, and he forgave all our sins. COLOSSIANS 2:13 NCV For this my son was dead, and is ALIVE AGAIN; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate. LUKE 15:24 ESV APPLICATION - LET’S GET BACK TO SOME BASICS THIS WEEK! Are we truly following Jesus in every area? Start again this week. Are we taking in and living out the truth of Jesus through God’s Word? Or have we believed and lived lies of the culture and our enemy? Let’s rejoice in the vibrant life we have as those who were dead but now live through Christ. Let’s look for those who need this life, and share it freely with them.
