Odd that they would blame their tax preparer? Guess they were expecting more since the new Trump Tax Deal was supposed to help the middle class? :(

For those of us that don't have a normal 9 to 5 Job, we probably hustle here and there to make a few dollars and maybe we have a part time job or drive for Uber... or Lyft, etc. This makes it a little more difficult to prepare your own taxes online, maybe you go to a free site and after you are nearly complete you find that you do not qualify for the free preparation and you could owe anything from $75 to $450? Worse yet, maybe you think you made a great effort and you have a refund coming but it never arrives. Several months later you get numerous letters form the State of California and the Internal Revenue telling you that you made an error and they are charging you penalties and interest and a rather hefty tax bill? That is what keeps me busy from October to December every year when people that have these problems come to our office seeking assistance.
