One of the great unexpected needs in Orange County is supplies for children who are now learning from Home schooling. The Lions Clubs will now start collecting school supplies to help support the families that are being Home Schooled. Please donate or purchase Papers, Pencils, markers, glue sticks, scissors, crayons, paint, Chalk etc. We will be collecting the supplies on Saturday September 12th & 26th at the G.G. Club House fro 9am till 10am. Please help us with this need. We will be donating 100 percent to the schools and children in need.

Today we gave half of the food to a local non profit who will give the food to people in the community who are in need. Plus we raised almost $3500.00 to give towards people in need. Open House tonight! Come by and see the Lions Den(our clubhouse) with the newly finished back yard. The Den is ready for action, and available for rent to the public. The margaritas start at 6 pm and the tacos not much later.

Zone A - Student Speaker Contest Held last night at the Garden Grove Host Lions Clubhouse. We had (5) Phenomenal speakers from local High Schools. Thanks to Shelby, Alexander & Meredith from Orange Coast College - Not only did the volunteer to Judge our contest- they spent 10 minutes with the students trying to help & encourage them on their future endeavors. Seal Beach Lions, Huntington Beach Lions, Garden Grove Lions, Harbor Mesa Lions & Newport Harbor/Costa Mesa all participated in the Contest. The Winner to my left is Tram Ngo from Bolsa Grande High School. She moves on to the Zone A & B contest at the end of the month. Congratulations Tran!
