A Great Idea: Scholastic bookclubs offers wonderful books for as low as a $1.00 each. As birthdays approach, instead of a $4.95 birthday card wouldn't a child enjoy 5 books to read to accompany their gift. You can write your birthday message in the books, and unlike a card, they will read the books over and over and share their books with family and friends.

Scholastic book catalogs have gone out today. We would like to submit orders by the 7th of this month so that we have a good chance of delivery by February 14th just in case the children choose a Valentine's Day book as one of their selections. All of the orders that arrived today came with a $5.00 coupon for the children to select a book up to that amount. Happy ordering! Keep the gift of early childhood literacy alive.

As we looked out at the rain on our playground, Lily tugged on the bottom of my shirt and said, "Look Miss Debbie, the sun is crying". She makes my heart smile.

A Wholesome Lunch. Try Brown Rice With The Kids. They Actually Love it. We occasionally serve it with a light broth from the chicken that we prepare. Yummmmmy!

We made smoothies for the kids on Friday. Fresh Baby Spinach, Carrots, blueberries, blackberries, pineapple, banana, frozen yogurt. They were none the wiser.
