WOW! Congratulations to Garces graduate Sophie Bouldoukian ('19) on being selected as a "Leprechaun" for Notre Dame Fighting Irish Athletics Sophie is only the second female to be chosen! We love to see it!!!

The Garces Band Spring Concert was last Friday, and, in the words of Band Director Mr. Smith, it was "magical"! They performed several Garces Band favorites, including the 1950's TV theme Peter Gunn and the Chicago Classic "25 or 6 to 4". The concert ended with the Class of 2021 band members performing the Louis Armstrong "What a Wonderful World". Mr. Smith says, "I have been so honored to work with these wonderful students this entire year. Even during the dark days of Covid lockdown, these young people have accomplished wonderful things."

"Thank you to all the teachers because without you we're nothing and with you, we have the ability to be anything we want." Couldn't have said it better ourselves, Dr. Etcheverry (Class of '88)! We love our teachers!

Garces athletics is a long-standing tradition. Although we, unfortunately, cannot offer admission to sporting events this year, we still need your support! And that's a wrap on Junior Retreat! The day focused on the life of St. Paul and the impact he made for the Kingdom of God. We took time to reflect on Saint Paul's journey and mission and how it applies to our life. Students learned more about his conversion and sufferings and how his witness created a ripple effect that led to the Church as we know it today. They had team-building activities, inspiring talks, small group time, confession, Mass, Adoration and a fantastic lunch from Luigi's. We love our juniors and can't wait to see the impact they create on our campus next year. Thank you to Ms. Perez for putting on such a wonderful and impactful day!

Our annual Monsignor Leddy Golf Classic is just around the corner and you can bet it's going to be a tee-riffic time! This year's Gala co-chairs are Melissa Alsop, Nanette Etcheverry & Stephany Napier. Gala 2021 might look a little different, but it's still going to be a blast and we want you to help! As you may know, this year we held a toiletry drive alongside our annual canned food drive. The toiletry drive, lead by junior class vice president Sophia Curutchague, benefited the Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault. We are so proud to announce our student body helped to collect two carloads of toiletry for the Alliance. This is what the season of giving is all about. Way to go Rams!

PICTURE DAYS JUNIORS: Juniors will take their ID/yearbook pictures this MONDAY (11/2) starting at 3 p.m., right after school. FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES: Freshmen and sophomores will take their ID/yearbook pictures on Tuesday, November 11th at 1:30 p.m.... SENIORS: Seniors can attend either session for an ID photo or Hall Photography will use your senior portrait on your ID card.
