Today, we share a little known fact that is often overlooked relating to sexual violence. Something that is very important to note that is coming to light more is that the act of sexual assault is committed by someone that the victim knows or comes in contact with. This is very alarming considering that this is just reported assaults, not the ones that are not reported. It is with great sadness that we write that our brother, Raul Vasquez, passed away today due to complications from COVID-19. Raul was raised in Salinas Ca. He moved to Bakersfield after graduating from Cal State University Monterey. Raul was a brother of Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity Inc., from the Lambda Chapter, Founding Father. He was a leader, visionary, friend, uncle, brother & son, and will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Vasquez family during thi...s challenging time.
