Good news everyone!! In store gaming will be available THIS SATURDAY! How it works for you:... 3 hour time blocks (12pm - 3pm or 4pm - 7pm) $10 Reservation fee $20 Day-of reservation fee Reservation fees will be given back to you in the form of store credit when you show up for your gaming session *** In-store gaming rules: 1. No food allowed, but non-alcoholic drinks will be allowed. 2. You must wear a face covering at all times, except when drinking. 3. You may not reserve multiple time blocks for a single day. 4. We will need to know the number of people you are having in your group at the time of reservation. Any changes to this number will need to be approved before hand. 5. If your gaming session requires more than one 2x6 gaming table, please state so at time of reservation. 6. You will need to check in with an associate when you show up for your gaming session and wait to be seated (for this reason, we strongly advise you to show up 5 or so minutes early) Cancelations: Cancelations must be made 24-hours prior to reservation time for a full refund. Any cancelation made after that will receive refund in the form of store credit. We do not have publicly available restrooms at this moment (currently under construction) Please know that our main concern is for the staff and the community's safety. Hey ya'll! We're starting up a new thing at Game Kastle Redwood City - Staff Picks! Mixed in with our normal store updates and product posts, we're going to be throwing in some Staff Picks to help you not only get to know the staff better but also potentially show you your next favorite thing! Starting off we have Corena! "Hey all, my name is Corena and I love to hobby and play table top games. Although one of my favorite games to play with my friends and family is called Ha...ppy Salmon. It is simple, yet a fast pace silly card game where you actually have to stand up facing one another in order to play. The game can go by pretty quickly but is super silly fun for almost all ages. The object of the game is to run out of your hand of cards before the other players. What makes this game so fun to play is how simple it is to learn, how quick it is to play, great for kids, can play a countless number of players by combining happy salmon games and helps to wake you up! So if you’re feeling up to the challenge I highly recommend this game. Also, side note; this game can get people pretty loud so definitely make sure you are not playing at a library or somewhere that requires you to be quiet. It can be a great game to play during the holidays!" Corena is also plays Warhammer 40k, and is always helpful with painting advice and recommendations!

Check this out! Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library in San Jose will host a five-week-long, online course to teach 6-8th graders storytelling skills for tabletop roleplaying games beginning on July 24. Created by Erik Federwisch with the MLK Library to foster a love of TTRPGs and storytelling in young students. Each week will have a different theme ranging from how to create an interesting character to basic improv skills. No prior experience with TTRPGs is necessary to take the course, but they ask that only 6-8th graders sign up. The class is completely free and takes place on Fridays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. PST on Zoom from July 24-Aug 21.
