Another Lien bites the dust this week! Michael Hailey, Senior Associate in our Greater Los Angeles office, petitioned for dismissal via seldom used Rule 10888 and successfully obtained the attached Order of Dismissal. Our attorneys explore ALL options to obtain lien dismissal which has resulted in significant cost savings for our clients. Great job on this one Mr. Hailey!

BREAKING NEWS: SB 1159 signed into law today by Gov. Newsom creating a rebuttable presumption for employees alleging COVID at work. Congratulations to Senior Associate Adam Knobler who has just obtained a significant victory for our client, an Order for Credit in the amount of $331,227.50, where our client's exposure is several hundred thousand dollars in indemnity and medical treatment! Mr. Knobler identified a potential subrogation opportunity shortly after being assigned the case and successfully obtained an Order for Credit from a third-party claim, which will allow a credit against indemnity and medical expenses for up to $331,227.50 against any PD or medical costs. Thanks to Mr. Knobler's diligence, our client was able to avoid issuing PDAs and will now realize a significant savings on this high exposure claim.
