Dear Friends, In a sea of frightening news reports, a gem kernel has passed over my desk. I thought I would share it with you--for what it's worth. From Patrick Watson, a very reliable source who works with Mauldin Economics and scouts changes to the market place, is reporting on a new Japanese company's drug that has been very effective in treating novel corona virus-related symptoms. The reporting source of this information is very legitimate, NHK.... The drug is called AVIGAN and is owned by Fugifilm Holdings. In two separate studies, patients given the drug tested negative for the virus after a median of four days, vs. 11 days for those without it. The trial also found x-ray photos showed improved lung condition in 91% of patients given the drug, vs. 62% for those without. No obvious side effects were noted. Pregnant women, however, should not be taking this drug. Avigan was originally developed for the flu but they are finding that it works well with COVID 19. China's government researchers say they have found the Japanese-developed anti-flu drug effective in treating patients and will promote its use. A Chinese firm that has licensed the drug from its Japanese developers got government approval last month to mass-produce the medication. Since our government has taken an adversarial position towards China, you may not be hearing about this drug. It is worth pursuing and seeing if we should be considering the licensing of the drug as well. We could at least be doing some trials with it over here. My concern is the current administration will not acknowledge this drug. Remember, turn off the news reports, stay off the phone (except for business and personal connections). Stop scaring yourself. One thing to keep in mind, this virus is another option for the elderly to leave. It provides another vehicle for them to exit out and some are taking it. We all must find ways to exit our lives. For the elderly who are tired of being here or other personal reasons, this is just another option--perhaps an easier one. #GailMinogue #Numerology #Trends
