Happy Martin Luther King Day! Martin Luther King Jr. was a visionary and activist who helped lead the way in fighting peacefully for justice and equality. Today we commemorate Dr. King for his passion, leadership, and achievements.

Meet Hayley B., our awesome Resort Assistant Manager! Hayley is Stephanie's (our Resort Manager's) little sister and has always wanted to work with animals since she was little. She worked in the restaurant business prior to working at the resort. As soon as a spot opened up for employment in 2016, we knew she would be a perfect addition to the team. She loves dogs, but her true love and passion is for cats. Hayley is on a mission to pet and love every cat she possi...bly can. She has two twin tortoiseshell kitties named Sariah and Marley that she adopted from the shelter who both have opposite personalities despite them being littermates. She also has an adorable cocker spaniel named Lucy Diamond. Hayley enjoys shopping and spending hours petting and playing with her cats. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, cuddling with her cats, and watching Netflix. We're so lucky to have you as part of the team, Hayley! Thank you for all your hard work. See more

October 29th is National Cat Day! Today is a great day to help spread information and awareness of the number of cats that need to be rescued each year. Halloween is just around the corner, so we thought we'd drop by on your timeline and remind you all of some important tips in keeping your pets safe and happy October 31st (even if there are little to no trick-or-treaters out)!: Be extra careful not to let them get into any human treats! Instead, consider making spooky DIY pet-safe treats! To prevent accidents or runaways, keep your pets away from the door when you give out candy!... October 18th-24th is National Veterinary Technician Week! This is a great week to really learn about all the critically important things that vet techs do to keep animals safe, healthy, and happy. And today, we want to give an extra special shout-out and THANK YOU to all the vet techs next door at Cuyamaca Animal Hospital! Thank you for all your hard work and commitment!

Meet Stephanie, our awesome Resort Manager! When Dr. Martin opened Furry Friends Resort in 2007, Stephanie was the obvious choice to manage it. She has established the resort as a vacation destination for your cherished pets. When asked about her favorite part of working at Furry Friends, she said: "Animals love unconditionally. I have more dog and cat friends than I do human friends and am blessed to be able to work with them every day. Going to work is like therapy for me." That's so sweet! We're so lucky to have Stephanie as a part of our team!

Here's a fun fact to kick off your Monday! Did you know? Many dogs love to play tug of war because it's a healthy display of their predatory instincts. Meet Kiera, one of our awesome Resort Representatives! Pictured with one of our very favorite Furry Friends who passed the rainbow bridge but is forever in our hearts. Kiera has been working with animals since 2014 and has also started her career in grooming. She has always loved animals and has cared for dogs, cats, rats, horses, & chickens. Kiera spends her free time painting, drawing, watching stand-up, & playing video games. She has a cat named Raja who thinks she...’s a dog, plays fetch, gives endless kisses, and loves cuddles more than anything. Thank you, Kiera, for being part of the Furry Friends Resort family!
