Furey's Old Town Barber 26.01.2021

The amazingly talented Sal will be joining us at Furey’s in February. He offers scalp micro-pigmentation. Check out his craft and sign up for a consultation. A great alternative to hair loss/thinning hair for both men and women.

It’s OFFICIAL! From KSBW SACRAMENTO, Calif. Stay-at-home orders for all regions across California have been lifted, the California Department of Public Health said Monday. ... Californians heard the urgent message to stay home as much as possible and accepted that challenge to slow the surge and save lives, Dr. Tomás Aragón, CDPH director and state public health officer, said in a statement. Together, we changed our activities knowing our short-term sacrifices would lead to longer-term gains. COVID-19 is still here and still deadly, so our work is not over, but it’s important to recognize our collective actions saved lives and we are turning a critical corner. Now that stay-at-home orders are lifted, counties in California revert back to following the county tier system, which loosens restrictions on reopening depending on COVID-19 transmission. With the stay-at-home order lifted, restaurants in the Bay Area, Southern California and San Joaquin Valley can resume outdoor dining and hair salons and barbershops are also able to reopen. The Greater Sacramento region's stay-at-home order was lifted earlier this month and the Northern California region never went into lockdown. Another order limiting non-essential activities between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. also expires, officials said. ksbw.com//stay-home-orders-regions-california-lif/35308653 All Services are BY APPOINTMENT

It’s been a wild ride... When 2020 started we, the eternal optimists, could have never have imagined what would be happening. Thankfully, with the support of our amazing community our shop has weathered lock downs, occupancy restrictions, construction on Main Street (which is finally coming to a close and looks great). We’ve cut inside, we made changes to our layout and service menu to accommodate the new quidelines, then we moved outside, then back inside. We created onlin...e shopping and boosted our retail presence. We are still in the middle of the pandemic but we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you have the opportunity to get the vaccine...do it! The more of us with the vaccine the quicker we get back to some sort of normalcy. I’ve grown pretty attached to wearing the mask but I’m excited to possibly get to a concert or get together with friends. I’m not certain what 2021 will bring but I know our shop and our community will keep adapting and come out stronger because of it. We will forever be grateful to our loyal clientele for getting us through this. Thank you and cheers to a better year! Lelyn Furey What to expect in the next few weeks You know us...always planning, changing, adapting. We aren’t sitting around waiting for handouts or some prince to rescue us. All of us are ready and excited to get back to what we do best...cutting (I know I’ve discovered over these last several months I’m not suited for the domestic lifestyle). The Shelter in Place order looks like it will be lifted today. Our online books are OPEN and you can easily go on and reserve your time. We aren’t just offering cuts and trims but offer a full service menu of manicures, pedicures, facials, kids cuts, massage and body treatments. There aren’t too many options any more for safe, socially distanced couple activities but luckily we can accommodate; father/son cut and couples pedicures or cuts. If you need help coordinating couple activities please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m more than happy to help with planning.

Construction Update and PARKING The Downtown Streetscape Project is moving faster than anticipated. The current work has disrupted the 100, 200 and 300 block flow on Main.
