Quick update from a colleague...a federal judge told cities to have emergency housing and transitional housing in place BEFORE using/enforcing the anti-camping city ordinance. So, that is why cities are finally focused on addressing eviction, case management, mental health and affordable housing needs of those living in cars, streets and with relatives. The status of homelessness can happen to anyone of us. The Armory opens October 15th and three other shelter sites (Placentia, Fullerton and Buena Park) is planned for operation in 2020. The Mayor of Fullerton has meet up on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the Fullerton Community Center; an opportunity to give your helpful suggestions.
