Instrumental Music Booster Club Meeting tonight via Zoom at 7pm! Link emailed to parent email address.
It is a bit unfortunate that we live in a world of music performers and music listeners. This is a by product of the creation of concert halls and the stage itself. We all love music but most people don’t see themselves as the creators of it, only the enjoyers and listeners of it. A great description of this can be found in the introduction to the book This is Your Brain on Music. HOWEVER, it is so good to be reminded that as human beings WE ARE ALL ARTISTS! Musicians and should be singing and performing no matter what our profession or career! Mr. Trimble always says one of the saddest things you can say is that you used to play an instrument. No matter where you are in life... don’t stop playing music!
Congratulations to Matthew! He is a recent senior graduate who spent four years in the Instrumental Music Program program, graduating as an Academy of the Arts completer. He was one of our top student ins Marching Band, Concert Band, and Percussion. Ensemble. We were so proud this year to see (and hear) him and Julia marching down Colorado Blvd in this year’s Rose Parade! #thisisFullerton
The Day of Music is one week away! Play it Safe Fullerton!
For those who may not be aware, this celebration has been happening since last week. It is the work of one of our graduating seniors and former trombone player in our program, Samuel Bradbury. He worked with our two wonderful Plummer Auditorium leads to set it up and bring it to life each night. What a wonderful tribute to the class of 2020! #onlyinfullerton #wearethearts #classof2020strong

We love our seniors! Here's a special shoutout to our 2020 Academy of the Arts completers in Instrumental Music: Julia Portales and Matthew Lopez! We are proud of you! #wearethearts #thisisfullerton
One of the best examples we can think of for a well-rounded education that creates holistic and well-rounded human beings! These astronauts and scientists are known musicians and not only find the time to play music in space but NEED TO as part of their lives to express who they are as people. Some of the most brilliant individuals are musicians and continue to play their instruments throughout life- you’d be surprised how many doctors are still performing musicians! Music is a viable career path, but not for all. What we do know is that regardless of your career path, music is still there in your life!
Proud of our district!
We love our campus! Thank you Fullerton Observer for this great article. Our Marching Band, Winterguard, Percussion Ensemble and countless other groups on campus practice, rehearse, and rest under this tree each year.
