From The Ground Up Farms, Inc.

Thanks to a grant from NVCF, From The Ground Up Farms bought a lumber mill and other equipment to make good use of burned trees on land hit hard by the Camp Fire. The community is able to rebuild with resources from their own landAnd considering the price of lumber these days, this is a huge win for survivorsBig UPs to the volunteers running the mill on the daily!Check out the cool video

We are welcoming Jess Mercer and Paradise Rec to Kentfield Garden. They are bringing something incredible to you kids. This is an art enrichment program for the summer. This program will run through August. Like everything we do, it's FREE, but we have a signup program due to limited space. Every single session will include an art project that you can take home and every week is a new project. What a day at Kentfield Gardens!The volunteers came out and in 2 hours, the garden was weeded, replanted and we all enjoyed a pot of "Friendship Soup" in our new teaching kitchen which was funded by the Power of 100+ Women Chico! We are so grateful for all of your help and it was our honor to share a meal with everyone who helped. So sorry, but one is sick with COVID and the rest of the crew was direct exposure and now on 2 week quarantines. Campaign Propane will be at Lake Concow Campground on Wednesday, the 17th, distributing 5 gallon cannisters of propane. It will be great to see Jocelyn again!
