We found in experience during the last 7 years of working to advance greenspace equity WITH la comunidad on several projects (just a few silly greenspace equity projects we’ve implemented: organizing the community to authentically inform a UCLA Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies led greenspa...ce equity study, implementing a community-led green streets event with Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) & CURRENTLY building a community-led park partially funded by Resources Legacy Fund that will help advance greenspace equity) - that they definitely understand how being a community of color is why the inequity exists. We are honored to have gained their trust.
