Thanks to BRTF, More Knock-Knock Burglary Crew Suspects Locked Up. Did These Suspects Burglarize your Neighborhood? Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s ...Major Crimes Bureau, Burglary-Robbery Task Force (BRTF) investigators observed four suspects commit a residential burglary in the city of Agoura Hills on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at approximately 11:00 AM. They believed these suspects were likely related to numerous recent West San Fernando Valley (Malibu, Lost Hills, and Agoura), West Los Angeles, and Ventura County area residential Knock-Knock type burglaries. The incident began when the BRTF detectives observed the suspects in a black Nissan Altima Sedan, slowly driving through an Agoura Hills neighborhood. The vehicle parked in front of a residence where three suspects exited the vehicle and entered the side yard of a residence. After several minutes, detectives watched the three suspects emerge from the front door of the residence. The suspects appeared to be carrying bags and property with them as they quickly entered the suspect vehicle. As this was transpiring, BRTF investigators coordinated with uniformed patrol deputies from the LA County Sheriff’s Lost Hills Station and safely detained all four suspects in front of the location. The suspects were arrested without incident and approximately $12,000 worth of stolen property (cash and jewelry) was recovered from inside the vehicle. The suspects were transported to and booked at the Lost Hills Sheriff Station. Suspect Hector Prestegui, male Hispanic 19 years-old, resident of Los Angeles. Suspect Pedro Calderon, male Hispanic 19 years-old, resident of Los Angeles. Suspect Miguel Esparza, male Hispanic 19 year-old, resident of Los Angeles. Suspect Jose Guatemala, male Hispanic 18 years-old, resident of Los Angeles. Detectives from the Lost Hills Station are handling the criminal filing and ongoing investigation. They will coordinate with detectives from nearby law enforcement agencies as well as Ventura County detectives and determine if these suspects were involved in additional recent residential burglaries. Anyone with information about these suspects, this incident, or feels they have been a victim of similar crimes, are encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency and/or the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Malibu/Lost Hills Station at (818) 878-1808.
