So, so, so, many years ago (2000). That dog would do anything for me. My heart dog Chase. Geez still miss him even now. Been reminiscing about how incredibly fortunate I have been to have so many wonderful, wonderful Rottweilers of my life. (About 17 now).
Considering adoption? Grab your MUTTS mask and make a trip to your local shelter.

Over the years I’ve worked with hundreds, I dare say thousands of puppies. I have never, ever had a dog so infatuated by his shadow.
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse (well, I might have one in the office)! Nothing happening at the training center this weekend! Enjoy your families and the season. Good Thursday morning friends!
Ok, this will NOT be in tricks class. There’s something disturbing about this and I have NO idea how to begin to train it!
Sorry for the traffic noise. Pumpkin sales. Great donation to the SPCA of Monterey County.
What do you think guys....next special class?
A bit of a long read but well founded words from a friend and colleague.
I owned a dog once.....
Give this some thought. It applies to many things not just training. Baby steps lead to success, failures are easy to correct. Leaps of faith leave large gaps that need to be corrected.
Important read and things I’ve said for years.
Corn Cobs Kill. Last night when Two Bit came in, Calvin did not understand why I was so upset. This image strikes fear into my heart as a veterinarian. And it... got me thinking, maybe others don't realize the danger either. Corn cobs kill. If a dog eats a corn cob, they are at high risk of causing a deadly foreign body. Corn cobs are able to pass through the stomach but frequently become lodged in the intestine. Because of the diameter and consistency of the cob, they can quickly cause compromise to the intestine which can cause a dog to die if it's not discovered and corrected immediately. A foreign body like this requires emergency surgery to remove it. Calvin grew corn for cow feed this year. And apparently had a few cobs in the box of his truck. The evil Aussies like to explore his truck on a regular basis, looking for stray parts. I am so thankful that Two Bit brought me his treasure and didn't sneak away and eat it!
