About Rex Weiner: Rex is an investigative journalist, author and reporter on contemporary culture; writing for many publications in the US and Europe. Rex is also an editor, stage/screen writer, and a co-founder and executive director of the Todos Santos Writers Workshop. He hosts the author interview series I READ YOUR BOOK AND..., based at Beyond Baroque, the LA literary center where he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. He runs the newly-launched FROGTOWN WRITER’S WORKSHOP from his home in Elysian Valley, CA, one of LA's unique neighborhoods located along the Los Angeles River, also known as Frogtown. He is also a co-founder of Asco, the East Los Angeles based Chicano art collective and performance group. He is currently Co-Director, School of Art - Program in Photography and Media at CalArts. His latest book is called Flower of the Dead, poems written in the era of masks and social distancing - a post-modern offering to the recent past.
