I have shared some of these lately hoping someone with a good heart will consider opening their home to a loving dog who will appreciate you forever.

Many of you know who Chloe is. I think of her as Long Beach's dog. So many of us were shocked at her initial condition after she was severely abused, broken and thrown away. And we have rallied with her and loved her as she was fostered, loved and brought to health and happiness . She is having some issues again , most likely related to her initial abuse.

Update: adopted What to say about this lil monkey.. She's downright crazy fun, that's what. She can go from sittin' and chillin' on a bench with you to ful...l zoomies (all while on leash.) She's happy to meet people on her walkabout and she LOVES to run after toys in the yard and encourages you to chase her. She's just a whole lot of fun. Is she what's been missing in your life? Meet Briana, she came to City of Long Beach Animal Care Services on 8/18 as a stray. She has a microchip, but the shelter has been unable to contact an owner. S...he becomes available for adoption on 8/27. She's 4 years old and weighs in at 12 lbs. She was very scared at first, but in just a few days she's really come around. Judging from our time together today, I feel comfortable describing her as sweet, sensitive and affectionate. This little wolf-man has had a sad summer. His family got evicted and they basically just left without him! He's real barky in his kennel and wanted NO PART o...f walking on leash. I finally just had to plop down on the grass with him, and that made all the difference. He's just a precious, scared little soul. He loves to sit in your lap and be made over. And after the initial walking debacle, he was a champ on leash. He was also happy to greet other volunteers. He has beautiful wavy hair and the sweetest eyes and i know he would make someone just the best companion ever. so much for no dog left behind. this one was chained to an empty house; his so called humans moved out and left him there......guess he broke away somehow, chain still attached. He is in the Downey pound now; just a puppy. needs rescued.
