The first flowering cherry of the year is about to bloom. Any day now the bellflower cherry will open and delight us with its beauty. Also known as the Formosan Cherry or Taiwan Cherry. It is native to Japan, Taiwan, southern and eastern China, and Vietnam.

Come and take a walk around Shinn park today between the raindrops.. The roses will soon be pruned but a few are still blooming.. The Japanese garden looks lovely in the mist and a few golden leaves may still be left on the ginkgo tree.
