In American Canyon our Library is allowing a limited number of walk-in visits. However, due to the library's size, they will also continue to offer a limited number of visits by appointment. Current hours of operation for the American Canyon Library: Monday Saturday 10am-5:30pm... A maximum of 5 appointment visits per hour & 5 walk-in visits per hour ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Napa County Library [email protected] says: You’ll also be able to return your materials during your visit. Each library is handling this a little differently so just ask when you arrive and we’ll assist you. We’re still extending due dates so don’t worry if you have a few things still checked out or if the daily return bins are full when you arrive. Libraries will have limited occupancy and seating to ensure proper social distancing. We may have to impose time restrictions to ensure equal access. Maintaining at least six feet of distance from staff and other patrons. Respecting social distancing guidelines and limiting your visit time to help ensure equal access. Update from Friends of the American Canyon Library October 30, 2020 Dear Friends of the Library,... This year we've all endured many changes and so we wanted to give you an update on our progress. Due to virus restrictions, we were unable to hold any used book sales since February. Once we are allowed to resume sales and have confirmed sale dates, we will notify you via email. After we have a sale, we will then have storage space to resume donations. Also as a result of the virus, we have opted for this year to automatically renew every membership in good standing without any fee. The Friends have purchased protective face shields for the librarians. We had signs made for patrons on how to visit the library by calling 707-644-1136 to make an in-person library appointment. We continue to fund the library's Crafternoons program with some alterations. Instead of on-site library crafts we have purchased home crafting and science kits for kids and parents to make at home. The State of California recently made significant changes to service operations allowing many more businesses to open for in-person services. Libraries were among them. Starting Friday, September 4th, the American Canyon Library will reopen their doors for one hour appointments at the Library. To schedule an appointment, please call 707-644-1136.
