Our November meeting was the "reveal" night for our 2020 Mystery Challenge. Here are a few of the results. The pattern is Lyn Brown's Magic 9-path: Next Generation and is available for free at: http://www.lynbrown.com/magic-9-patch-and-next-generation-/ (Hint: 1st image shows Lyn's pattern)
For all those interested in big-stitch quilting, here's a great tip.
Some of the quilts we will be donating to local philanthropies at our Dec. meeting.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL YOU QUILTING PUMPKINS OUT THERE.
С утра мне хорошо, улыбаюсь, вспоминая вас, мои дорогие ученицы. Благодарю Алексей Приказчиков за фотоматериалы, из которых мой телефон смог сделать небольшой видеоряд.
Our Breast Cancer Silent Auction at last Saturday's Fabric Sale was a great success. Thanks to Shelley and her crew for all they do.
110 quilts have made their way to Oregon. Great job. FSQG members are so awesome.
Karen from Sew Creative quilt shop in Ashland, OR, says: Thank you and all of your guild members for the extraordinary box of quilts. We are so grateful for your kind hearts and talented hands. Families are being kumforted...just like you planned. You’re the best.
What a great idea. Scrappy lovers have fun!
All of you who remember the Quilt Cupboard and Sheri's cat will be sad to hear this. We love our little feline friends (and canine). They are definitely family and bring us so much joy.
Diana B. shared this post. Grandmothers or no, Happy Gorgeous Day everyone!
Anyone doing any Fall decorating? Sue M. has certainly gotten into the holiday spirit with the quilts she has hanging in her house. Kinda gets you in the mood, doesn't it?
Nothing to do with quilting or COVID-19.
Pictured here is a retired Oregon firefighter with a twin sized quilt we sent last week. Ale says he was in her son-in-law’s department. Her daughter and son-in-law delivered the quilt to him today after taking 6 other quilts to the Glide, OR, collection center. They said quilts & jackets were the two most requested items! So glad we could be of service.
This from Ale MY FLOOR IS CLEAR! What an amazing response we’ve had from our membership with quilts, tops, backings, even a big batting piece and postage money! 70 quilts are on their way to Ashland, OR, as of Wed., Sept 30, thanks to generous guild members who have donated quilts, tops, backings, batting & postage money to provide warmth & comfort for the children in Talent & Phoenix who have lost homes. Thank you, especially, to Carol P. who dropped off 7 of these quilts
Fun to make all scrap quilts with batting donated by Bonnie S.A. & binding done by Jan Y. So many contributing members!!
Sheltering in place? No problem for quilters. Just gives us all more time to make quilts to share.
Despite the quarantine our quilt elves are still busy putting together quilt tops. Scrap quilt was a donation to which we added border, quilting & binding. Fireman quilt is from swatch donations to see how many it would take to make a kids quilt.
What landmark Fullerton civic building features these sweet little tile quilt blocks? Do you know?
