Hello Friends and supporters, Help Friends of the Sacramento Public Library win a cash prize and publicity! We have submitted a photo of Caroline Sorrells, a teen volunteer, and Kim Farnsworth, Youth Services Librarian, taken as they helped to monitor ballot boxes at Arden Dimick Library for the November 2020 election. This was a great effort on the part of the Friends, and we're proud of our volunteers of all ages who made it such a success! Starting February 9, Sacramento Public Library will reopen 21 locations for browsing with limited occupancy, including North Highlands-Antelope. The public will be able to visit any of the reopened locations to browse for up to one hour. Plus you can continue to use curbside service and make one-hour computer appointments at 20 locations

Great news, our branch location is now open, with limited attendance, masks and social distancing, from Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Great news for our community. Our North Highlands-Antelope Library will be opening tomorrow, November 5. The schedule is Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visits are limited to 1 hour, and all social distancing protocols will be followed, including masks for all patrons over 2 years old. But the virtual library is always open at sac library.org, all you need is your library card to access the catalog.

Did you know?...October 18-24 is National Friends of the Library Week. Even though the branches of Sacramento Public LIbrary are not currently open for programs, the Friends are still operating behind the scenes in support SacLibrary. We are funding Lucky Day books, volunteering to monitor ballot boxes, and will be distributing thousands of free books to first graders, (even through the COVID-19 epidemic). We also keep you, the community, aware of the latest news and continuing events.
