Thank you to all who joined us this past weekend at the FRGL Book Sale and the $7 Bag Sale. We raised enough money to pay for 3 months of library programs. We knew our community was the best, but we love meeting you in person. Another great event at the Rose Garden Library, this one in June! Cyber Safety for Seniors (https://www.sjpl.org/event/cyber-safety-seniors) June 10, 1pm-2pm... A volunteer presentation given by a teen volunteer, whose non-profit organization CyberSmarts4All, is focused on seniors specifically and teaching the skills to navigate online safely. Topics covered will include keeping your information private (emphasis on social media), safe online money management (banking, shopping, and donating, essentially anywhere you're providing payment info), and how to detect and avoid common scams and threats (to include the "personal emergency" scam, "infected computer" scam, phone calls from impersonating government agents and officials, etc.).
