While there won’t be races this year, we can still support the wonderful Caruthers Fair!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold our annual races this year at the Caruthers Fair, due to the current COVID-19 situation. We are disappointed, yet we know the importance of following the County's and Fair Board's recommendations. We will definitely be back next year with a vengeance!

Good evening to my race family and friends. I created this page to keep people updated on the fair and to have fun sharing race pictures. This year has been a ...very trying time for all of us. Unfortunately, the health department has been given Carte Blanche by the governor to do whatever they want. Myself and FMC have spoken many times over the past few months and it has been decided to forgo the races this year. The health dept. will not allow people in the stands and the pits would have to be limited. Your FMC Warriors put thousands of dollars up front before the fair even starts. FMC is a nonprofit organization and the races are their one, yearly fundraiser. If we run, we take the chance of being shut down this year and possibly years to come. I can tell you this hurts me as much as it does you. I have many years invested into the fair races. I raced for 16 years here, and I don’t want to see it ruined. Next year we will be back and stronger than ever. Our fair this year will be what we can get by with due to restrictions. My apologies to you all, but I want to let you know these races mean more to me than you’ll ever know. Reminder this Sunday we're having a Donation Memorial Run and BBQ for Rev.DR.Stephen Walling at Recreational Point park, Bass Lake Ca. Stephen passed away June ...14th when he had an accident on his Harley. Stephen was a Decorated Naval Veteran and a diver. So let's honor his service to his country and to God's children with his family . There will be an Honor Guard as well as Safety Traffic Escort Service. Also there will be a $5 dollar motorcycle and $10 dollar car charge that Bass lake charges are separate, Bass lake is charging us for all parking, sorry for this, we will be collecting it as you enter the park so that we're not disturb during this time. Parking outside this area is free, there is a dirt lot just north of the park. The run starts meeting up at 9am to 930 am motorcycle and cars if wanted are meeting up at People Church in Fresno we're all be leaving at 10 am. We will be escorted all the way up 41 to North Fork then to Bass lake. In North Fork, we will be slowing down or stopping at accident site to be putting roses down for those who have them. After that we will be proceeding slow through North Fork to rd 274 off to Bass Lake Recreational Point. There we will be having a Donation BBQ all proceeds will go to the funeral and unexpected bills. We will be serving and gloved up for any covid compliance issue that might linger.
