With heavy hearts, FCPL says goodbye to a treasured member of its family, Nick the Tail Waggin’ Tutor, who passed away yesterday. Nick and her owner, Karan Johnson, were our very first therapy dog team for the popular, Read to a Dog program. They selflessly volunteered for nearly ten years at the Woodward Park Library, helping countless children practice their reading in a fun and non-judgmental environment. A certified therapy dog through Therapy Dogs International - Chapter #220, Fresno, CA, Nick brought so much joy to so many people. She will be greatly missed by FCPL staff and customers alike. We are grateful to Karan for having shared her special furry friend with our Library family.
