Thank you to all the exceptionally talented former FGO Chorus members and the inspirational Chorus Master, Paul Raheb for a phenomenal grand finale of Sunday night's performance! There were moments of joy and tears of sadness as we all came together one last time to celebrate our love for opera and music. There were countless standing ovations and applause from the audience, showing their appreciation and love for the chorus. Many thanks to John Shore and the First Congregational Church of Fresno for their perserverance and gracious support for the chorus in the production of Broadway on Van Ness. Though this may be the end of FGO, we will still sing and music will flourish in our hearts, and someday, we will all make music together again. Acting Board President, Gerald Palladino of Fresno Grand Opera, regretfully announces the cancellation of the remainder of the 2016/17 season, as well as the decision to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in the near future. This is a decision that was not made lightly, considering our community of dedicated patrons and years of quality performances that were passionately presented.
