Fremont Baseball Incorporated 30.08.2020

Hello Families, As you know, this Saturday is our first Field Day work party. After this rainy weather, all of our fields are going to need a lot of work to be... ready for opening day. We are also going to be working on the areas around the field, such as: snack bars, dugouts, bleachers, etc. These fields will be our home for the next six months so lets all get out there, do our part and make these fields a place we can be proud to call our own! Each field will have a set of tasks we are going to try and complete - Harvey Green Paint - Backstops, Benches, Graffiti and Snack Bar Shelves Fix Broken Sprinkler Heads Deep Clean the Snack Bar Edge Foul Lines, Infield and Warning Track Cut out Batters Boxes Put up Rookie Field Fence Clean Out and Organize Storage Containers Spray Pesticides Reseed Outfield Dead Spots Spike Drag Fields Rebuild Batters Boxes and Mounds Brier Paint - Backstops, Benches, Dugouts and Score Booths Rototill Fields and Redistribute Dirt Replace Roof and Benches on the Rookie Field Put up Wind Screen Tear out Broken PeeWee Field Foul Line Clean Out Storage Shed Deep Clean the Snack Bar Edge Foul Lines, Infield and Warning Track Reseed Outfield Dead Spots With all this work that needs to be done, it would be great if we could get some parents to bring in any equipment at home that could help us get through our list. Please bring: Paint Brushes or Sprayers, Power Drills, Saws, Rototillers, Weed Whackers, Shovels, Picks, Rakes or Cleaning Supplies If you have any special experience that could serve useful for any of these tasks, please let us know.

Calling All Families, We all know that our kids grow like weeds and we are lucky if a pair of shoes last more than a few months!... We also know that our kids unused gear tends to find a home in an old baseball bag, bin or bucket in the garage. Let us help you clear out that used gear by donating it to the entire league! Starting this season, we would like to set up tables at both Brier and Harvey Green as sort of a FNYB Swap Meet for baseball gear. Families can drop off used equipment at either location throughout the season while at the same time, families can take what they need at any time! This is in effort to strengthen this FNYB community by giving back and helping anyone who may be in need. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please let us know. We will inventory used bats, cleats, gloves, catchers gear, etc. We would like to have some gear set up for the first Field Day (2/16) so if you would like to arrange a drop off at Brier or Harvey Green this week, please let us know. Thank you all for being a part of our baseball community and helping us make this season and all seasons to come memorable for all our little athletes! - Your FNYB Board
