Our 2021 State Race is in the books! What an AWESOME day out at Freedom Park BMX. Good vibes & even better racing! Safe to say the online presigns and block racing were a huge hit! Less stress / more riding & enjoying the day Thanks to all that came out and rocked with us. From the novices kicking it off - to the cruisers and intermediates laying down some seriously action packed racing - to the experts finishing the day strong - and all the spectators and parents keeping ...the energy going through each block - THAT WAS FUN! HUGE thank you to all our volunteers & families that got the track in shape and made the whole day run smoothly - the Slipich, Hughes, Cardenas, Berg, Ferrell, Schmidt, Donnelly, & Ziegler families - Corky & Dylan - Mama Karla & Greg - and of course our favorite FP BMX employees, Caden & Leyna! We’ve been loving seeing all your pictures from yesterday! THAT’S IT! Sign-ups for our State Race tomorrow, May 1st, are CLOSED and we had very minimal corrections. What is posted on our live moto board (https://www.usabmx.com/tracks/1710/events/motoboard) is what ya get Physical copies of motos for each block will be posted on our moto board near the finish line. We will NOT be accepting any in-person sign-ups tomorrow at the track. This race has been announced as online pre-signs only for weeks. Thanks to the 200+ racers that si...gned up using our new online system for this year’s State Race. We took a chance using our own form/online sign-up system, and it definitely paid off. STATE RACE logistics 1. Track Address: 530 CONVAIR ST., CAMARILLO, CA 93010 2. There is an empty dirt lot next to the track. Perfect spot to post up and be able to watch the races without being within the track gates (marked in pink) ... 3. Additional parking in the park (marked in pink) 4. BATHROOMS are located in the park across the parking lot. Short walk / bike ride from the track. Circled in blue. Please check in at the front gate. Each rider and their one spectator will receive a wristband for their block. Block 1 (Novices) - gates open at 7:45am, practice starts at 8am, racing at 9am Block 2 (Cruisers & Intermediates): gates open/practice at 10:30am, racing at 11:30am Block 3: gates open/practice at 1pm, racing at 2pm See you at the track!

Freedom Park BMX is Re-Opening on JANUARY 13, 2021!! Open practice, beginner lessons, and Eric Rupe clinics will resume from that date forward. Beginner lesson sign-ups are open now through the end of February on our website. 2021 schedule:... Tuesdays: Eric Rupe clinics -4:30-5:30pm: BMX comp clinic for beginner/intermediate racers -5:30-7:30pm: Advanced clinic for expert racers Wednesdays & Thursdays: Open track practice 4-7pm, $15 per rider Saturdays: Beginner Lessons 1-2:30pm & 3-4:30pm (advanced sign-ups required through our website). We still have no word on when we can officially race again. This is a county specific thing, but hoping for spring!! When we can race, Thursday night will be our race night to start. Update on our Holiday schedule: While we hoped to stay open for practice & lessons/clinics over the holidays, we will be CLOSED until January (for at least 2-3 weeks total, we do not have a confirmation on a re-opening date just yet). This closing includes the Rupe clinics on Tuesdays and the Beginner Lessons on Saturdays. We know this is a bummer for many of our riders, but we feel like this is the responsible thing to do in light of the COVID situation in CA. We need to do... our part to get through these difficult weeks, and keeping the track closed is one small way we can help slow the spread. Private Rentals! This is the safest way to enjoy the track, so we will be available for any private group while we are closed to the public. All private rentals already booked between now and January are still on! We will reach out to each booking to confirm. If you’d like to book the track for a private rental, DM us here or head to our website (under the Plan a Party tab) to book. Maximum 10 riders. $150 for the first hour, $100 for every hour after the first. Available any day or time through the holidays. THANK YOU to all our our riders and families for being awesome and sticking with us through this crazy year. And it really was a crazy year! We will post when we will reopen as soon as we know. Another heat wave in Southern California? Not in Camarillo! Forecast is showing mid 80s at the track today. Open practice from 4-7pm tonight (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday)! No reservations needed, $15 per rider. Masks required when inside the track gates for all spectators. Please limit spectators within the gates for social distancing purposes. Riders do not need a mask when riding on the track, but do need one when taking a break within track gates. STATE RACE UPDATE: Our 2020 state race hosted by Cactus Park BMX scheduled for Sunday 10/11/2020 has been CANCELLED. We want to thank the Cactus Park TO & team for taking this on in the first place, and we are optimistic 2021 will be better for BMX in SoCal! Please wear your masks so we can get back to the races! We are SO lucky that BMX is happening at any capacity right now given that so many other sports are not. Let’s come together as a BMX community and do our part to keep our tracks open !
