Beautiful weathe...r going across and there until about 1PM. Lots of Bonito and Calico Bass caught, and 1 Yellowtail hooked for awhile until it broke Maxx's line. The wind started to pick up so we crossed back to the mainland, looked for some Bass but it was gnarly seas! Ducked inside and got this nice Spotted Bay Bass ... Another fun day on the AC Sled II at Catalina Island for Angler Chronicles' Sergio & Ron Hobbs. Beautiful weather going across and coming back, even checked on ...a few kelp paddies along the way. Plenty of Bonito all around the East End and quarry. Ron got the "3 Bs" in his first 4 casts: Calico Bass, Bonito, and Barracuda. The island is ALIVE with water temperatures as high as 72 degrees. Two BIG Yellowtail were hooked and fought, unfortunately, one spit the hook and the other busted off in the kelp ... heartbreakers! ... Nonetheless, plenty of fish and variety! Life is good! ...
