Alumi Former captain Darryn Hlabangana (Edinburgh, Scotland) attended FRC from 2014-16 and led the team to its first ever Elite Eight appearance during his sophomore year. Daz transferred to Wayland Baptist University, a NAIA program in Texas and enjoyed abundant success there. He was named as one of the captains and honoured as defensive MVP in his junior year after leading them to the conference title, conference tournament title, and national tournament appearance. In hi...s senior year, Wayland would repeat as SAC regular season champions, SAC tournament champions, and capped off a historic season by clinching the NAIA national title in the 2017/18 season. The coaching staff’s vision for the program, professionalism, and their vast experience within the professional and college game sold me on FRC. Initially I was hesitant on going to community college in a small town but it’s turned out to be one the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I benefited immensely from coaches’s attention to detail and professional approach in training and games. Added with the support and accessibility of professors and academic advisors, my 2 years in Quincy really helped to prepare me for the four-year level. #nationalchampions

Perth, Australia native Stacey Cavill played at FRC from 2013 to 2015. After FRC, Stacey, transferred to NCAA D2 program Northern State University. She went on to represent the Philippines national team and play professionally for Perth Glory after graduating from college. Stacey also secured endorsement deals with Reusch USA (glove manufacturer) and Mizuno Sports Australia. In Stacey’s words, here’s why she chose FRC: I chose FRC because of the head coach at the time, expl...aining in much detail how professional and organised college soccer at FRC was. I understood he was a goalkeeper as well and had excellent mentors...it was a no brainer. The town, my team/class mates and the college staff made me fall in love with FRC and Quincy. So welcoming, happy to help and have a chat when ever and wherever. The beautiful country side with Reno and Sacramento not to far away was fantastic, but living in a small town with its amazing cafes/restaurants topped it off. See more

Guido Battistini (Pilar, Argentina) played at FRC from 2016 to 2018 before transferring to NAIA program McPherson College. Guido graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration, emphasised in Finance. He is now working in Austin, Texas. ..." its a small college in the middle of the mountains", thats what my friend Santi told me when we were at a soccer camp in Argentina. When I was in the plane coming to the US, I was thinking about a small town with only a few activit...ies to do, but I did not care that much because I was going to play soccer and study in California, but everything was different. We met people from everywhere, the leaders were great and the coaches had a lot of passion! It was easy for me to be happy there, I was playing soccer with a beautiful view and good vibes. The field is beautiful, you can even walk a few meters and have an icebath in the river, the trainer room has great people always willing to help you. I was lucky to have a great host family thanks to the host family program that helps students a lot. The community there is super friendly. I could be writing a long essay about FRC, like I used to do when I was at the library, looking at the window seeing deers, eagles, or squirrels. In Quincy, you can have the best seasons. The lakes in summer, and the mountains with snow in winter are special things to experience. Trust me. After a few weeks there I discovered that Quincy is a magical place. If you have gone to FRC, I bet you know what im talking about, if you are there please enjoy every moment, and if you are thinking about going be ready to visit a small huge place full of life. #GoldenEagle for ever.
