Starting this week, the PTA is sending home codes to every Franklin student to access the Open eBook lending library, a free K-4 (or 5-8 depending on grade) library that doesn't require a library card or use checkouts or holds. Open eBook features thousands of popular books in a collection designed help kids discover a love of reading. You can download Open eBook to any mobile device using iOS 7 or later, or Android equivalent; when using the app, standard data rates will app...ly. (Unfortunately, we are unable to help provide access on any device not supported by Open eBook app developers. We do encourage all families to get a San Diego Public Library card so that they can access the library’s eBook platform, CloudLibrary, which can be accessed on most computers or portable devices. San Diego Public Library cards are free; please visit https://www.sandiego.gov/public-library/ for more information on how you can get your card today.) Each code and password are individual to your student so please keep the code safe! We hope this helps your family and brings your kids joy. The PTA Wellness Kit distributed at this month’s Materials Pick-Up has something fun inside: A glow stick! Having fun is an important part of good mental healthit can make you feel good about yourself and help you connect with others. Use this glow stick in a lights-out dance party or nighttime walk with family, or, just chill out with the pretty glow. Use it in whatever way will light you up. We are thankful for everyone in our school community who makes Franklin a safe, welcoming, inclusive place for kids to learn and grow.
