Hey, today is our 5th birthday. Five years ago I (Grant) left my downtown law job and filed articles of incorporation for Framework Law Group PC a law firm for creatives. Something fun, human, fresh, and nothing like the dinosaur curmudgeon law firms dominating the industry. I DIYd a squarespace website, some business cards, and set out to connect with creatives. Most who were familiar with my plan told me to stop and find a new job immediately. But I caught traction teac...hing workshops, hosting open office hours, and building partnerships in the community. Along the way I connected with some legal wizards like Chris who joined the team and brought years of legal experience to our mission. Clients started trickling in. We grew. Things were not always easy, and entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. But now 5 years later we have had the honor to work with hundreds of amazing artists, designers, apparel makers, food creators, techies, wellness gurus, coaches, freelancers, dancers and renegades. It’s expanded my world like magic and I am super grateful for my team and all the wonderful people we get to work with every day. I love having an excuse to visit our alma mater every semester and remembering our past lives navigating the law school gauntlet @santaclaralaw ... and this time we found the law school in a fancy new building.
