One last "Art That Brings You Joy" entry for the month of April. Robert says, The print is an abstract anthropomorphic figure in primary colors made by a local artist in Oakland. The artist likes to use primary colors and strong graphics to project totemic images of the human condition. I chose a simple modern metal frame for the print, so the eye focuses on the print itself, and the black frame makes the colors pop. It was exquisitely framed, and is one of my favorite prin...ts. I have the print hanging above a modern Scandinavian glass-top credenza, which seems just the right place for it. It's the highlight of that small corner of the room, and adds so much color and accent to a white room with light brown wood floors. I'm always inspired and uplifted by the bright colors and cool frame of the print, and I'm grateful to your shop for the excellent job of framing it.
We have another entry in the "Art That Brings You Joy" April program. Linda sent us these wonderful "Paper Plate Dinosaurs in Obata landscapes."

We had another entry in the Art That Brings You Joy April program. Margarat says, of her 'Fillmore Friends', , "Framed so beautifully at your shop!" Thanks so much for sharing this. It gives us such pleasure to see art that we've framed "at home." Thanks so much for sharing this. --Kirstie
Two more entries in our "Art that brings you joy" contest, Mahavir sent us these two beautiful Yoshiko Yamamoto pieces that were framed at our how. Mahavir says, "These two photos bring such joy and happiness to me. The pomegranates remind me of my mom whose family grew pomegranates in the San Joaquin Valley from the 1930s until the 1980s. And of course the Berkeley Rose Garden there’s a place of great wonderful memories from college days on. Thank you for this invitation to share what is so precious!"
Here's another set of photos in our Art That Inspires Us series. Jim W. describes one of these photos saying, "The Living Room Trio features two local artists. David Goines, of course, with the Chez Panisse "Eat" poster, which is one that I love. I have visited David Goines' print shop a couple of times, and he is quite gracious with his time - giving a tour of the studio plus pulling out a current poster and giving one to me on my first visit, and then - on a second visit wi...th my youngest son - he gave posters to both of us. On the right of the photo, a music poster by Chuck Sperry who has his silkscreen studio in Oakland (I bought this poster on a studio open house he holds once a year). And in the middle, a poster by Henri Evenepoel, "Au Square", printed in 1897. I had wanted a copy of this for years, ever since I first saw the full-size poster at the de Young in San Francisco. I finally found a copy I could afford last year from the L'Estampe Moderne series that was printed in 1897 and 1898, and it was framed beautifully at your shop. I love it, thank you!" See more
