Remembering Rick Muchow

Our dear friend and brother, Rick Muchow "fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith." I met Rick when he was a student at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 1980 and we became fast friends. He came to faith in Jesus Christ at Foxworthy Baptist Church while he was a student at Pioneer High School. He was performing in the musical Godspell, and his good friend, Dave Auda shared the truth about Jesus, brought him to the church to talk with the youth p...astor where he gave his life to Jesus Christ. Dr. Thurmond George baptized Rick and the rest is history! Back in the day (before he married Laura), Rick spent many a night on our couch in San Carlos and Foster City. Diann and I loved him like a brother. There are so many precious memories of times spent with Rick at Giants games, concerts, dinners in San Francisco and San Jose, Spirit West Coast and so many more. Always joyful, ever passionate about Jesus, about worship and encouraging others in their faith walk. He wrote some of the most meaningful songs I've heard ever. We will be singing them for years to come...songs like "Depend Upon His Love," "All of Me," Don't Give Up." "Trust God," "Healing Grace" and so many more. He was a tremendous influence on my 2 boys. (I'm going to have Dave sing and play "Depend Upon His Love" this Sunday in Rick's honor. I thank God that he brought Rick and Laura Muchow into our lives. He has now joined that great cloud of witnesses cheering us on as we run our race. We will see him again! See more

Meet the Challenge Homeless Ministry Day

We will be hosting "Meet the Challenge" Homeless Ministry tomorrow from 10AM-1PM in the front parking lot at Foxworthy Baptist Church. There will be haircuts, clothes, personal hygiene packs, lunch, great music and the Gospel shared with those in greatest need. Pray for us as we share the love of Jesus!
