It was important for the ForWords team to discuss the violence that took place today at the Capitol with our students. We understand that events like this can be confusing and scary, so we wanted to use our time together to talk about why and how right wing extremists stormed the Capitol. Our goal today was to not only inform, but help students process the information they may see online and on TV. Our duty as educators is to provide both academic and emotional support for our students, especially during periods of political upheaval.
