Did you know that, in some cases, your passport must be valid for up to 6 months after the date that you plan to leave the country you're visiting?
It's no wonder this railway has been called "one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world!"
Need help planning day trips and excursions?
Would you rather only be able to explore more of your country or only be able to travel to other countries? for your own country for other countries... Let us know!
Imagine soaking in an infinity pool on the edge of a jungle... yes please!
Isn't this tree amazing?!
Here are the women of Kassama who are learning to be MOMS CHWs (Community Health Workers). Jitta, Jo, and Lydia are training them. Yay!
Six members of MOMS Leadership Council gathered in the parlor of our HQ in Bo. One member, Mamie Lamin, is missing as she tended to the funeral of her husband.... The women warmly welcomed the newest member, Gbessey Kemokai from our class in Jendema (far left in the photo below). Some of the regions are still struggling in the aftermath of the Ebola epidemic, and its devastating effect in deaths and economies. The surge in teen pregnancy is more than troubling as many of these young girls are unable to support their children, adding to the burdens of their already stressed families. The women shared ideas for educating the girls and have pledged to implement several of them. The women were delighted with our suggestion that we conduct our next class in Ngolahun, centrally located in the Kailahun District, to include six students from each of our five Kailahun villages. This will help replace the ranks of those killed or driven away by Ebola. They were also thrilled with the notion of a Jamboree, with increased emphasis on continuing education. We are happy and excited about the future, proud of the quality of our work, and anxious about money.

Remember that time the U.S. asked Mexico to send its hard-working men and save the U.S. agricultural economy during war time? That time from 1942 to 1964, when ...the U.S. offered 4.6 million contracts through The Bracero Program because many American growers feared World War II would bring labor shortages to low-paying, arduous, agricultural jobs scorned by most Americans? And then they kept renewing it because U.S. growers needed the cheap labor. This is how circular migration from Mexico to the U.S. was encouraged. This is the history of the Mexican immigrants some Americans now scorn. http://amhistory.si.edu/onthemove/themes/story_51_5.html See more
