In our final segment of the "Meet the Band" series, the other half of our rock steady rhythm section, CHRIS SLATTERY. Beating on drums at the age of 10, Chris grew up playing to the complex rhythms of Neil Peart (Rush), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), and Buddy Rich. Intertwined with his influences of the 80's, progressive rock and heavy metal is where he funneled his talents. Over the last 34 years and through his travels with the Marine Corps, he has had the opportunity to pla...y for thousands of people from the east coast to the west coast and also overseas. If it has a rhythm, Chris can be found tapping his hands and feet in efforts to make the masses stand up and rock. Add the influences of Shannon Larkin and Sully Erna (both of Godsmack), Mike Portnoy (formerly of Dream Theater), and the progressive sounds of Carter Beauford (the Dave Matthews Band), he is constantly evolving in his craft. With over 42 years of overall experience (live, studio, tracks, click), Chris will provide you with the perfect rhythm for your music and put on a performance that will leave a lasting impression for years to come! You can also currently see Chris playing with The Cheez Whiz Band, a costumed, all genre tribute to the 80's!! See more

This week in our, "Meet the Band" series, GINA LINEBERGER. Gina has been immersed in music her entire life. Taught to play the piano at age 3 by her mother, she grew up studying classical music and participated in multiple festivals and contests through the 12th grade, winning awards at every turn. At age 14 she discovered rock music and joined her first rock band. At 17 she began college as a music major, attaining dual degrees in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. She took a p...osition as Music Director at a church, where she served for 25 years. She started both adult and youth worship teams and continued to play for services. In 2003 Gina successfully auditioned and joined the Orange County/William Hall Master Chorale and toured internationally for 5 years, performing at many venues including the Sydney Opera House, the Vatican, and the theatre at the ruins in both Pompeii and Ephesus. In 2010 she ‘retired’ and promptly joined a classic rock band. Her rock influences being Elton John, Keith Emerson, Dennis DeWitt, and Jon Lord, she has performed a variety of genres over the last 11 years, but rock and metal remain at the top of her list. Currently, Gina is currently playing with OZZY BLOODY OZZY, Southern CA’s premier Ozzy Osbourne/Randy Rhodes tribute experience. Since joining them she has played at top notch venues all over CA and toured annually. Gina also plays in RECOVERED, a metal cover band, and a signed and recorded Christian ministry band known as SAVIOR’S ROAD. Next in our "Meet the Band" series...SARA MARSH. Sara Marsh is a lifelong musician and educator. She started piano at 5 and guitar at 13 and is influenced by Elton John and Black Sabbath. Sara's first song learned in her first band was "Hot Blooded" and is a huge fan of Mick Jones. She was 12 when Foreigner's 4 album hit the airwaves in SoCal where she grew up surfing and longing to be a juke box hero. Little did she know, her wishes would soon come true! As a founding member of The Iron Maidens, playing lead guitar stage right was a cumulative success in which she contributed multiple talents that saw the tribute band achieve world touring status during her stature. When not on stage, Sara enjoys rocking acoustic or banjo in class while teaching young kiddos with special needs how to be the best they can be!

Let's meet the band! This week, we feature the bands founder and lead vocalist, THERESA GARCIA. Theresa Garcia was born in Tokyo, Japan and currently resides in Chino Hills, CA. She has been singing and playing the piano since the age of six. At the age of 15, she fell in love with rock and roll influenced by groups such as Styx, Foreigner, ELO, Eddie Money, Fleetwood Mac and Heart. She always said she could taste the art of performing live and set that as her goal. She p...erformed as the keyboardist in a local Orange County band called The Shades throughout much of the 80’s as keyboardist and vocalist. While raising her family, she continued to perform locally for city sponsored events and as a member of the Chino Valley Community Chorus. In 2013, she re-entered the local band circuit and has played in several cover bands throughout Southern California including opening for the 80’s band Berlin in 2015. She is currently playing in Shakedown80s as lead vocalist and keyboardist. While observing the success of many tribute bands today, she decided to put her vocal talent to work and created FOREIGN HER which has brought together such talented musicians from all over Southern California.
