The Zero-Waste chef has a new book. Though some people find her too extreme, I found her ideas inspiring and am already practicing most. Here's a few you can do too: 1. Shop your fridge first - No need to buy more food when you already have something in the fridge. Be creative with leftovers. 2. Shop your pantry - Try a grain medley if you're out of rice, beans, tortillas, polenta, and use up what you already have. 3. Shop your freezer - I know these seem simple, but we reall...y can often put together a meal in a pinch by quick thawing something we already have. Great stuff Ann-Marie Bonneau, thanks!

Leftover curried cauliflower from dinner over rice cooked into a porridge for breakfast. I’m on a bit of a turmeric kick to reduce inflammation. Was so yum!

Used up all of the beet greens for breakfast and roasting the beet roots for lunch. Do you eat any greens not typically considered?

My new favorite breakfast stir fry: shiitake, black radish, and spring onion cooked in ghee. Then I nestle in the eggs, turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and go take a shower. When I come back it’s like someone cooked for me.
