I used to dislike cats because I found them unfriendly. Plus, my ex-roommate’s feline would eat my cheese and throw the remainder across the room afterwards. Now I live with someone who’s obsessed with them, which led to us adopting a part Russian Blue, part soccer player/vacuum cleaner/design object that followed us home one night. Now I love cats. Last week, a black stray showed up in our yard. Chupa and I discussed letting him in, and I admitted that I want a tabby so that I can learn how to paint non-monochromatic cats.

Mom often served pigs’ feet for dinner. I liked the meat part, but the skin portion was gooey and made my lips stick together, which I hated. I didn’t know that they were pig feet until later. We also snacked on pig ear slices, and I never knew what those were either, since Dad would always say, Just eat it! when I asked for identification.

Pigs can travel at speeds of 11 mph.

Capybaras enjoy leisurely soaks in hot springs.

It finally occurred to me that I should fill in the backgrounds in illustrations.

My husband dislikes weekdays since his job entails stressing and slaving over billions of lines of code, but I like work and feel dismayed on Fridays, since it means that I didn’t get sh*t done during the week. Happy Octofridayber to you!
