ATTENTION LAP SWIMMERS! Starting Monday April 26th the Steve Miklos Aquatic Center is excited to welcome back the Folsom Sea Otters. Over 300 swimmers will begin the 2021 Summer Swim Season after being out of the water for almost 2 years. In order to meet the needs of all our user groups while following Covid-19 procedures, we need to shift the evening lap swim time from 5:30 - 7:30pm to 6:00 - 8:00pm. Lane space and fees remain the same through May 28. Thank you for your cooperation! Looking forward to a great summer!

Sea Squad Swim School returns for the 2021 Summer Season! Registration for lessons begin Monday May 3rd! Lessons will be held at the newly renovated Steve Miklos Aquatic Center, maintaining a maximum of 5 students to 1 teacher ratio. Lesson times: 9:45 - 10:15am, 10:30 - 11:00am, 11:15 - 11:45am, 5:30 - 6:00pm, 6:15 - 6:45pm, 7:00 - 7:30pm. Swim Lesson Sessions: 6/7 - 6/17, 6/21 - 7/1, 7/5 - 7/14, 7/19 - 7/30.... Fee: $89 Covid-19 safety protocols require Mask to be worn when entering, exiting, and using restroom facilities. Please maintain 6’ of social distancing from non family members. Thank you!

For many years we have heard through program evaluations the need for more shade... Just installed today ( 3 - 20' umbrellas) as our renovation project is winding down. They are AWESOME!!! Season Passes and Swim Lesson Registration begins Monday May 3, 2021.

Thank you Girl Scout Troop 1622 for providing the Steve Miklos Aquatic Center with this hand sanitizing station. It is great to have our own community groups concerned and take action to help keep the entire Folsom community safe during this time of COVID-19. Great Job & Thank you!!!

As much as I hate to disappoint our dedicated lap swimmers the air quality has taken a substantial turn for the worse. (Red indicates unhealthy air 151+ AQI) Unfortunately we are going to need to cancel lap swimming tonight. We are SORRY for the last minute notification. Some GOOD NEWS!! As of 3:15pm 10/2/2020 the Aquatic Center will be open this evening for Lap Swim! 5:30 - 7pm. Take some time and swim a few laps and take your mind to your happy place!!

Based upon current air quality (9:30am) the Aquatic Center will be open for lap swim today from 11am - 2pm. We will update the evening lap swim availability later this afternoon. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you at the pool!

Unfortunately another round of smoke has settled on top of Folsom creating unhealthy air conditions in Folsom. The Aquatic Center and Skate park will be closed for the remainder of the day 9/30/2020. Thank you for your cooperation and hopefully this air will clear out quickly.

Air quality has substantially improved allowing for Lap Swim to take place TONIGHT 5:30 - 7pm. (9/15/2020) Looking forward to see each of you back in the Water!!

Good news, we are not in the Purple! Bad news we are still above the 151. No Swimming Today! We miss all of our participants and looking forward to having you all back in the water as soon as it is safe! Hopefully the weather is going to help later this week with some shifting of some winds and a low pressure system
