Reading the Book of Mormon and Bible have helped me through so much. Reading the scriptures gives me all the answers about all the hard questions in life that even humans can't get right or answer. But that's why there are missionaries, friends, and family that He puts in our lives every season when He thinks we are ready for the next opportunity to help us through our biblical journeys that we cannot understand. With that though, comes agency and the freedom to do what we w...ant. This I have been trying to figure out my whole life. Something I have learned from this whole experience in itself is, God doesn't help those who don't help themselves. This has taught that our society has to be willing to wake up and be who we really are and who God created us to be even when we are not perfect. I had found out about God around the age of 10 and didn't really know anything about Him except He was a higher power and we should believe in Him. I could have been known as an atheist to some or just a non practicing Christian. The Book of Mormon has given me feelings of happiness, freedom, fearlessness in the way I live because we are just passing through a temporary place that we have made our home. The Book has also inspired me to share the gospel with others in my life which gives me feelings of joy that I am giving blessings that are completely free and then receiving a gift in return which is happiness. Bible verses are very strong for me as well. It helps me feels that I am not alone. As well as knowing that when I make mistakes, whether it was intentional or not, praying and reading the scriptures is a way of showing forgiveness and its repenting and talking about what's on my heart, whether it's woes or passions. He is listening whenever I am ready to talk! ~Gracie~
