Local trumpeter Marc Brandl had the privilege of being a touring member of Baby Huey & the Babysitters for about 6 months. He considered James Ramey (Baby Huey) to be a good friend and didn’t realize that there is a very strong interest in his music today. His stint with the band unfortunately ended when Brandl was drafted to serve in Vietnam. Marc played in a variety of R&B bands in the Milwaukee & Chicago areas during the 60’s. The only vinyl release he played on was the 1968 Capitol 45 by The Exception, You Don’t Know Like I Know / You Always Hurt Me. Marc is very grateful to still be playing music and is a current member of the Coastal Community Jazz Band & the Coastal Community Concert Band. All smiles in this wonderful photo.

This mural will forever make me think of my mother, and her Birthday is today.
